Taxes & Duties

Domestic Orders:
For all orders shipped within the United States, urbanchiccloset charges sales tax where applicable by law. The amount of sales tax charged on your order depends on various factors, including the type of item purchased and the destination of the shipment. Sales tax, if applicable, will be calculated and displayed at checkout before you complete your order.

International Orders:
Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties, and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient’s country.

Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; urbanchiccloset has no control over these charges, nor can urbanchiccloset predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

Please note: urbanchiccloset is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Duty-Free Limitations for International Orders:
Some countries offer a duty-free threshold, where if the order value is below a certain amount, it will not be subject to any import duties. This threshold varies by country, and we recommend checking with your local customs office to see if your order could be exempt from additional charges.

VAT:
For customers within the European Union, VAT (Value Added Tax) rates are included in the price displayed on the website. For orders shipped to countries outside of the EU, VAT is not charged, but you may be subject to import duties and taxes once the shipment reaches your country.

How to Calculate Duties and Taxes for International Orders:
Unfortunately, we cannot provide an exact amount for duties and taxes as these charges are determined by your local customs authorities. We recommend using an online duties and taxes calculator or contacting your local customs office for an estimate of these charges.
